Gardens Galore! (September 10) Learn how to play 19th-c. games in the McCook’s garden and create your very own, framed water color painting of the McCook’s flowers and plants! The Antiquarian & Landmarks Society proudly continues its Drop-In Saturday Kids Program. Children (ages 4-14) and their parents/ adult friends are encouraged to participate. Taking place under a new, expanded hours format in 2005, each program features take-home history and art activities. Families may drop by anytime between 10:30-3:30. Swimnastics is back! Gymnastics World in Clinton will again be offering a class to homeschoolers of all ages on Tuesdays from 11-12:30. The class includes an open swim from 11-11:30 (parents are welcome to swim), followed by gymnastics and games from 11:45-12:30. Session A: For children ages 5-9. Session B: For children ages 10-14. Bring your imagination and your creativity to this lively class as we explore art and art history. Try your hand at chiseling a sculpture in the manner of Renaissance master Michelangelo. Create a self-portrait in blue in the style of Pablo Picasso --- and discover why Picasso used only shades of blue paint for a period of several years. We'll take our canvasses outside and create paintings in the spirit of Van Gogh and Georgia O'Keefe.
